Isn't it amazing how quickly they destroy things and how long it takes to put it back together?
So lots has been going on. We got a blazingly fast approval from the fire dept to put in sprinklers so that is hugely good news and means that we are less likely to be going to school on the first day from a tent in our front yard. It's still possible but just less likely!! Now we need the sprinkler guys to get in here and get it done 2 weeks ahead of schedule. No small task. (Blogging on my iPhone is so frustrating). We also dropped of cookies this morning at the fire house. A little thank you for everything they do (like approving my permits!)
It's pay day for a couple of the subs today so Jack had to stop by the bank -- again!!! The tellers are starting to wonder - drug problem? gambling addiction? They can tell by the beaten down look in our eyes that it must be a house remodel. Even a Chrystal Meth addiction wouldn't be this much of a roller coaster!
Good news today is that our bathroom permit was approved and is ready for pick-up. Once we get that, we are legit! No more sneaking around and trying to cover up the sound of framing going up with noisy tree work or the huge pile of debris with a bed sheet.
We made a bold color choice for the girls bedroom - walls: white, trim and ceiling ... purple!
Electricians are almost done. Then sprinklers and then it's sheetrock time!
We are going to make a time capsule with the girls and hide it in between the floors before they seal it all up. A little message to the future as to who lived here in 2013. Fun!
Girls started slide ranch camp today - their favorite thing ever!
