Day 1 - Best cure for Jetlag ... A hike up the Salisbury Crag!

After we all arrived at Carols safely from points west, we decided that the best cure for the exceeding crappy feelings from which we were all suffering, would be a warm bowl of soup, some quick acupuncture and a bracing hike up the Blackburg Hills. We parked at the Royal Conservatory, walked up to get a beautiful view of the Firth of Forth and Arthur's Seat and the Salisbury Cragg. We then hiked down through the beautiful yellow gorse to the brae that runs through the park. The weather was beautiful and we were feeling much refreshed and renewed from our tramp around. Carol then took us on a driving overview of the highlights of Edinburgh then home for a veal stew expertly prepared by David. Thank you, thank you to Carol and David for making our first day on Edinburgh so lovely. We were all grateful to drop into bed that night!
