My New Year's resolution to stay in better touch with our far-flung friends and family has resulted in this ... a little slice-of-life blog that I hope to update once a week or so with a few pictures and news of the general goings on of our family.

We just said a tearful goodbye to my sister and her family this morning who arrived in time to ring in the new year with us and spent a lovely sunny week enjoying Northern California.  More pictures to follow ...

Natalie stood up unaided for the first time today - I just looked over and there she was, standing there looking as surprised as I was.  Only a couple of weeks and she'll be turning one.  Where did that year go?!?  Where do any of them go?
